Coachella Inspired Prom Looks

Love the whimsical fashion trends sported by celebrities at Coachella? Fringe and flowers aren’t just for music festivals! Check out how you can be desert-party chic at your prom!

 Flower Power
When we think “music festival” we think “flower crown”. This is an absolute go-to look for any outdoor party, and now for prom, too! Flaunt loose curls with a flower headband, weave them into a romantic braid stick ’em into a fun up-do! Celebs sporting this flirty look at Coachella include Vanessa Hudgens, Emmy Rossum, and Bella Thorne.

Dangly Earrings
Girls typically choose a chandelier earring or a simplistic stud for prom, depending on her dress. Try jazzing your look up with dangly hand-made boho-chic earrings to stand out amongst the endless array of silver, sparkly chandelier-clad lobes.

Fantastic Fringe
Aside from fringe being totally hot for spring this season, it has come a long way from its grungy hippie roots! Add some fun fringe accents to your prom look either on your dress or a cute clutch bag.

Rings, Rings, Rings!
Don’t know whether to go with earrings, a wrist cuff, or necklace for prom? Don’t fret! Most girls don’t think to make rings the main jewelry accent for prom, but it is totally doable! Just don’t go overboard, one or two statement rings and a few other fillers or midi-rings in colors that compliment your dress should do the trick!

The Perfect…Sandal?
Okay, we know it’s nontraditional to wear flats to prom instead of heels, but hear us out. Some very tall girls feel awkward towering over their dates and opt for a flat shoe, and some just cannot walk in a sexy pair of heels, no matter how much time they invest in breaking them in beforehand. A pair of shoes isn’t worth giving up your one and only prom, right?! So instead of settling for a pair of flats, embrace it and create a look around amazing (and comfy) sandals!

Dramatic Lips
Last, but definitely not least: the dramatic lip. This look is for the boldest of the bold. Instead of a shimmery gloss or a ballet slipper pink lipstick, go big with a deep plum, va-va-voom red, and even pastel orange!

Helpful hints on how to wear & what looks best:
Plum: Hazel or green eyes. All skin tones.
Red: All eye colors. Fair and Olive skin tones.
Orange: Lighter eyes. Generally fair skin tones. Darker skin tones should go with a bolder orange that isn’t so pastel.
