Dancing with the Stars Dresses

Dancing with the Stars season 13 finally is almost here! For those of you who are not familiar, Dancing with the Stars is a reality TV show that pairs a celebrity with a professional dancer in hopes of winning the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy. The range of celebrities chosen to dance is very vast. There has been race car drivers, Olympic gold mentalists, television hosts, actors, members of the military, reality stars and many more individuals who may or may not have ever danced before. Besides getting paid, getting in better shape and instant fame; one of the other perks of being on the show is wearing the fabulous costumes.

Over the years that Dancing with the Stars has been on, we have seen some elaborate eccentric clothing. Very minimal clothing on most of the woman, but none the less absolutely over the top! The costume designer, Randall Christensen, does a great job of matching the contestants’ personalities and particular dance routines to their costume design. With an unlimited budget, he creates one of a kind masterpieces. Anything from leopard, to lace, to completely covered in sequin; his creativity has no ceiling. For the Waltz, he might create a romantic chiffon flowing pastel dress that floats across the dance floor. For the Paso Doble, he might create a two piece lace and sequin sexy number. The more extravagant the better and he even does an excellent job of getting those men into some pretty racy costumes.

Designers around the world have been influences by the Dancing with the Stars phenomenon. Since the start of the show, Dancing with the Stars introduced many different elements to the average dress designer. Randall Christensen has dared to be different by incorporating more feathers and sexier silhouettes to his dress designs. Whether you agree or disagree with the amount of skin being shown on the show, the dresses have definitely been memorable! As the season 13 finally approaches, all the Dancing with the Stars fans are looking forward to seeing the Dancing with the Stars dresses!
