For the few in the world that don’t know who Rachel Zoe, you will now! She is a A-list Stylist, star of her own reality show “The Rachel Zoe Project”, collaborated with accessories maker Judith Leiber on a line of luxury bags, was the face of Samsung’s BlackJack cell phone national ad campaign, a New York times best seller for her book Style A to Zoe: The Art of Fashion, Beauty and Everything Glamour that was co-written by Rose Apodaca, and now she can add to her list of accomplishments….fashion designer! She is debuting her new fashion line called Fashion Matters. She was the pioneer of the “Boho Chic” look and you can definitely see that reflection in her debut clothing line.
At first glance, the collection reflects Rachel Zoe’s personal style. It is a blend of neutral colors of oversized blouses, trousers, and maxi dresses. She stated that she wanted her first collection to be “attainable couture.” I don’t know what her idea of “attainable” is but I thought the prices were a little high for the middle class. Not that I would expect anything less from someone that wears a fur coat around the house or full hair and makeup to give child birth, but that is what makes her fabulous!
Rachel Zoe is not going to stop here! She plans on expanding her brand to accessories, shoes, apparel and even furniture. This fashionista is on top of her game. The fabrics, colors and styles she used in her first collection is a foreshadowing of a bright future ahead. With her experience, great sense of style, intelligence and drive for success….Rachel Zoe is the next big thing! The Rachel Zoe Collection is available at most higher end retailers like Neiman Marcus or Bloomingdales, so stop by and pick up your first piece of Fashion Matters!
