A Rule Made To Be Broken

Remember when your mom didn’t understand why instead of wearing those designer jeans she had just bought you, you chose to wear your flannel pajamas to school. Well now there’s an excuse, pajamas is the newest fashion trend.
Does this mean we have Back-to-School Pajama shopping in the next few weeks? Not necessarily.
I wouldn’t through away your jeans just yet…the new trend calls for ‘dressing-up’ your pajamas, mainly with the shoe. We all know the shoe can be very important and for this look it is imperative if you want to get it right. Our P.J. advocate Rachael Roy is the trendsetter with all the buzz. She was spotted at the premier of “One Day” wearing a pajama set with none other than her sparkly Manolo Blanik heels, and a beautiful clutch. If Rachael wasn’t adorning those two crucial pieces of accessory I am not quite sure things would have blown over as they did.
The original look she has so perfectly exercised is from Celine’s 2012 Resort Collection. In this collection we see a striped pajama set worn with a fancy clutch. And, girls, don’t forget, imitation is the highest form of flattery…and sometimes, the only way to get it right.
Other ways to take this look into your own hands is to wear a cute pair of pajama pants with a simple white tank and accessorize! During the day it may be suitable to wear cute sandals or flats with the look, but if you are taking this look into the night, a cute and sexy pair of heels is a must. And don’t forget, this trend in its simplest form is taking the wide leg trousers to a different level. So, if you are not the bold type, per say, do the same look but swap the p.j. pants for a pair of light colored wide leg trousers!
